| A new Wind Farm near small town of Walkaway (20 km south of Geraldton) has opened in August 2005 and is capable of providing electricity for 60,000 homes. It is about four times larger than the one near Albany in the south of the State and is a must for every visitor to the Mid-West. When you are approaching Geraldton on the Brand Highway from the south, you cannot miss it on the right (near the 'S-Bend'). Also, the same Ellendale road will lead you to a very pleasant spot at the Ellendale Pool and, if you will continue further - to the Coalseam Reserve. Please click on the image to enlarge it. |  |
