Tasman
Peninsula is a short drive from Hobart. Its main attraction is the
Port Arthur historic site. Knowing that about 1600 convicts did
not make it, that this was a place where solitary confinement was
first introduced as a punishment, and that Australia's most heinous
shooting took place there several years ago may induce a lot of
people to visit it, but we had to give it a miss and instead spent
some time at Eaglehawk Neck with its natural attractions. Please
