A
drive to the top of Mount Wellington (1270m, 22 km from the city centre)
is well worth the effort. If you would like to walk, please stick
to walking trails: the road to the top is winding and narrow - motorists
have a limited vision of what's ahead. Please also note that sunshine
may be quickly replaced by cold wind, sometimes with rain or snow.
