Hamilton is a small town on the junction of three highways in Western Victoria, with the population of approximately 10,500. Tourist regions such as the Great Ocean Road and the Grampians National Park are within 1 hour of Hamilton. Coonawarra and Naracoorte-Penola wine regions are also in close proximity.   The large oak tree (1880) - "The adjoining tree was planted in commemoration of the centenary of Sabbath Schools by William Thompson ESO, Mayor. Hamilton, 2 July 1880".
The smaller oak tree (1980) - "This tree was planted by the Sunday School children of Hamilton and district, to commemorate the bicentenary of Sunday Schools, 2 July 1980."
